How to Make Money with your Mailing ListIf you do have your own opt-in email list, are you making money from it? If you are, then great! If not, then keep reading. The whole purpose of having a mailing list is to gather together a huge number of subscribers and turn them into buyers for your business. When you have a large list of subscribers you can contact them when you want. Whenever you have anything to announce about your website or about your products or business you should send out a mail to these subscribers. The most important task of any webmaster is to build a list. In time the subscribers on your list will have come to know you. They will respect you as an expert if you have done the job properly and will be eagerly awaiting the next email from you. If your information is really really good they will begin to trust you and your credibility will be such that you can recommend products to these people. Your list is your business, you can recommend products that you have found useful and you think will be beneficial to your subscribers. In order to choose a good selection of products to recommend to your subscribers you must consider the problem that they are trying to solve. This is why you need a targeted mailing list. What problem are your subscribers trying to solve? Whatever your business niche there is a problem which your information is trying to supply the answers to. Your whole business on the Internet revolves around supplying valuable content which provides the solution to your visitor's problems. In each email that you send to your mailing list, include links back to your website for further information. Throughout your website you should have product recommendations and affiliate links which earn you commission. When I send out the emails they usually include a link to my latest article. On my article pages I make sure that I provide excellent content filled with links to other pages on my website and two affiliate products which earn commission. If you really want to understand what it is your visitors are looking for then you must keep in touch with them by regular email. When a visitor contacts you answer quickly and try to build up a personal relationship. This will enable you to sell more to your customers. With every newsletter that you send in your email campaigns include a feedback link, or link back to a special page where you allow the reader to make comments and send them by email. You should ask questions like "how could my newsletter been improved?" "What would you like to see in my next email?" "What do you like about my newsletters and what would you like to see in future issues?" Asking questions like this will enable you to supply the answers to the questions which concern your readers. This in turn will enable you to recommend products which can help them and therefore you will sell more.
