Email Campaigns - why they are so
important
Once you have your
list of subscribers you should send out an email campaign regularly. I
think once a week is the best frequency to send out an email campaign
because it's not too often to annoy them and yet it's often enough to
remind them who you are.
So what's the purpose of an email campaign?
The purpose of an email campaign is to build a relationship with your
subscribers. They joined your list because they were interested in what
you had to say and what you have to offer. They signed up because they
wanted to hear more from you in the way of free information and advice
in order to solve the problem that faces them. You should give your
subscribers what they signed up for, lots of useful information that
will help them and slowly slowly, after providing the information, you
can start to build a relationship and eventually sell to them.
The people who receive your emails will not buy from you immediately
because at the start they will not trust you enough. The only way to get
them to trust you and build credibility is to show them that you are an
expert in the subject that they are interested in. This is not as
difficult as it seems. Provided you offer them helpful and practical
free advice in the way of articles and content added to your website,
they will come back for more.
Follow this advice
and you will make money with your mailing list.
The whole point of your email campaign should be to slowly build the
relationship between you and your potential customer. Beware! Don't
think about selling, or about you. Think about them, your readers. Give
them what they want. How do you know what they want? Any email campaign
is a great opportunity for you to ask your readers and subscribers
exactly what they want to see in future newsletters, emails or on your
website.
Why did you create a list in the first place?
To find potential customers and sell to them...
Email campaigns
should be personal and you should address your reader as you or use
their name as much as you can. Try to get as much feedback is you can
and act on it, building subscribers satisfaction.
The aim of any email campaign should be to entice your subscribers to
return to your website and find the information and help that they're
looking for. When they do visit your website and read your great content
you can then try to sell to them through affiliate links or
recommendations of products which you know will help your subscribers.
If you can write your email campaigns in a way that appeals to your
subscribers and underlines that you are an expert who they can respect,
they will reward you by buying from you.
